If you are seeing this or generally have a low occupancy at this time of year, here are a few pointers to get you back on track:

1. Double down on your marketing.

Facebook groups are a good free source of advertising, regularly update your social media with engaging content or maybe run a competition.

Offer discounts to local attractions or a free welcome hamper.

Use a niche listing website that appeal to your target demographic.

Use a channel manager to reach more people.

2. Change your cancellation policy

Make your cancellation policy less stringent, allowing guests to cancel with a full refund especially with the uncertainty in what's happening in the world today.

3.  Alter your pricing & minimum stay

Offer a discount through a last minute deal or reduce your minimum stay to 1 night, this may tempt people in booking with you

4.  Give people confidence in why they should stay with you.

Reassure guests you are doing every possible to reduce the risk to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Have safeguardeds in place, the relevant information at hand and that your property is thoroughly deep cleaned after every stay.

Update your property description on your website & other channels with a cleaning notice explaining your increased cleaning regime. This will give guests the confidence and reassurance they need to stay with you.
